Horse Riding and Pony Trekking
Open all year round, the very popular Peebles Hydro Stables can be found within the grounds of the hotel. All rides are taken into Glentress Forest so there’s no roadwork.
Riding hats must always be worn - free loan of approved riding hats if you need one.
The rides are always accompanied and for your comfort and safety we would recommend you wear boots or shoes with a stout heel.
Riding is available to residents and non-residents – we recommend you book in advance.

Suitable for novices and beginners
A trek through Glentress Forest and enjoy the fine views of the Tweed Valley

For experienced riders only
Riders should be able to trot and canter

1½ hours - £25 - Childrens Forest Walks
Suitable for children from 4 years old
Each pony is led by someone on foot – it’s an excellent to introduce children to ponies and adults are welcome to join in this popular session.
Adults and Childrens forest walk, ½ hour - £14.00
Family booking (minimum 4 riders), ½ hour - £12.00 - Riding Lessons
Lessons for adults and children are taken in our Outdoor School. The surface Is a sand and rubber mix. Most of our pupils attend on a regular basis on a Saturday and Sunday.
