Celebrations at McMillan as group takes top hotels awards (April 2005)
McMillan Hotels are the toast of Scotland after being voted the country’s top hotels group and picking up the Scottish Luxury Hotel of the Year Award.
The family-run group, which began in 1962 with the North West Castle in Stranraer, now owns seven hotels in South West Scotland and the Borders, including the Hydro and Park Hotels in Peebles.

Visitors to see double as Borders & Galloway are ‘twinned’ (March 2005)
Two of Scotland’s most beautiful and unspoiled regions have been combined into one holiday breaks package believed to be the first of its kind in the country.
McMillan Hotels, which recently bought the Peebles Hydro and Park Hotels in Peebles, are celebrating the group’s expansion by offering complimentary bottles of wine and room upgrades in the package which offers stays at top hotels in the Borders and Galloway.
