Film Crew give Hotels Star Billing

The North West Castle and Fernhill won rave reviews from a film company after proving to be the perfect home-from-home for 50 members of the cast and crew.

The Gate Television Production team were filming an adaptation of ‘A Risk Worth Taking’ by Robin Pilcher, a novel about a struggling City high-flyer who heads to remote Scotland in search of a new life. The cast included ex-Ally McBeal actor Tim Dutton and British thespian James Wilby.

"The North West Castle and Fernhill hotels proved to be a fantastic choice of accommodation for us,” said Assistant Producer Will Evans.

“The facilities were excellent and we were delighted at the hospitality shown during our stay. Filming can be a tiring process so a good hotel can make all the difference at the end of a long day! They fitted the bill admirably."
