They include the Hydro and Park Hotels in Peebles which are just a mile from The Hub in the Forest at Glen Tress, and the Cally Palace at Gatehouse of Fleet and Kirroughtree House at Newton Stewart, both conveniently placed for the Dalbeattie, Kirroughtree, Glentrool and Mabie trails.

McMillan Hotels is offering mountain bikers discounts of up to 20% on dinner, bed and breakfast rates between Sunday and Thursday nights, excluding peak holidays, subject to accommodation availability.

“Mountain biking is thrilling for the whole family, offering healthy exercise amid some of Scotland’s most spectacular scenery. We’re pleased to play our part in its rapid development, especially in the Borders and Galloway,” said McMillan Hotels’ Director Douglas McMillan.

“Our hotels are well geared up to provide services which complement sporting breaks such as award-winning food, leisure facilities, children’s clubs and spa treatments.”

Mountain bikers can enjoy a night’s dinner, bed and breakfast at a McMillan Hotel for just £56 per person per night. This includes a four course table d’hote dinner, full Scottish breakfast, service charge and use of the available leisure facilities. A small charge is made for children sharing their parents’ room.
