News from The McMillan Hotels
Trust McMillan to help visitors enjoy Scotland’s heritage!
National Trust for Scotland members can now cut the cost
of accommodation and dining when they visit some of the country’s
treasures.
All McMillan Hotels are offering NTS members a 10% discount on dinner, bed and breakfast rates from Sunday to Thursday nights inclusive until the end of 2006 (excluding Christmas, New Year and the peak Summer season).
“These special rates for National Trust for Scotland members are aimed at helping them further enjoy Scotland’s natural and cultural heritage,” Director Douglas McMillan commented.
“There are many fascinating places to visit around Scotland and we’re delighted to be able to make visiting them more affordable.”
McMillan, voted Hotel Group of the Year in the 2005 Scottish Hotels Awards, owns and operates the Hydro and Park Hotels in Peebles, Glenapp Castle in Ballantrae, Kirroughtree House in Newton Stewart, the Cally Palace in Gatehouse of Fleet, the Fernhill in Portpatrick, and the North West Castle in Stranraer.
NTS properties in the Borders include the Grey Mare’s Tail Nature Reserve near Moffat, Robert Smail’s Printing Works at Innerleithen, and St Abb’s Head National Nature Reserve near Coldingham.
In Dumfries and Galloway they include Threave Gardens in Castle Douglas, the Rockcliffe coastline and bird sanctuary, and Broughton House in Kirkcudbright, the former house and studio of Scottish artist EA Hornel, which was re-opened to visitors on 1 April following completion of a £2 million conservation project.
McMillan Hotels are also conveniently located for visitors to the Trust’s Culzean Castle and Country Park at Maybole, Ayrshire.
