The Residents Lounge and The Ross Bar
The Residents Lounge commands views of the whole length of Loch Ryan, and in the original windows little apertures on hinges can still be found, through which a telescope could be inserted, giving a clear view of the shipping on the loch.
The Ross Bar is a relaxing and convivial place to enjoy a pre-dinner drink as you study the evening's menu. This fascinating room, built as a facsimile of Sir John Ross's cabin on the Victory, was originally used by him to demonstrate polar navigation to his guests.
