Stranraer In Shore Lifeboat Park Fest, 18th - 19th August 2017
Park Fest 2017 is the 8th festival, hard to believe! And since its invention in 2010 it has become one of Stranraer’s popular Annual Events . It is an event created to not only raise funds for the RNLI but to raise the profile of the Stranraer Lifeboat, give our community an event that could involve peopl of all ages and we believe this has been achieved.
The Park Fest is run solely volunteers – the RNLI’s Stranraer fund raising branch (Park Fest Team), the Stranraer Station and Lifeboat Crew. Our heartfelt thanks goes to all who have helped in any way whatsoever, whether it be by donating, sponsoring, giving their time and skills or providing a service and equipment – and of course, YOU who come along spend your money.
Over the past seven years RNLI Park Fest has provided such entertainment as Dodgy, The Neville Staples Band, S club and Ben Haenow. This year they return for an 8th year and have another former chart topping, festival loved act heading for the shores of Loch Ryan .
Probably THE band of the year 2000. They were global, they were and still are a staple on the Karaoke circuit. They have become firm festival favourites the length and breadth of the country and across Europe.
